Volunteer Code Enforcement Welcome Idea

The appearance of Deltona is going down the tubes. More and more houses have become rentals, and the rentals become eyesores. Some areas look like a real junk town. I believe the problem is we are short-staffed in code enforcement.
That's why I was happy to hear recently that Mayor Mulder is talking about increasing code enforcement in Deltona by recruiting volunteers. The volunteers will certainly help to enforce the codes, but without hurting our budget.
I hope the City goes forward with the Mayor's plan. The volunteers will be truly concerned about the appearance of our City or they wouldn't be willing to volunteer in the first place. Code breakers beware! The community now has a way to get really involved in code enforcement!
