WHAT DO THEY THINK ABOUT

MAYOR MULDER'S MOTION?

Click the link to hear

the uncut comments

On the matters of recalls, incompetent leadership, stewardship of tax dollars, and an unconstitutional action:

Mayor Dennis Mulder

Click to listen

"My comments in my memo was very comprehensive and covered everything I was feeling."

Vice Mayor Michael Carmolingo

Click to listen

In his hasty vote, Carmolingo relied on

City Attorney advice that he felt didn't happen

"I beat out mayors from other cities..." "parks are all beautiful... the motion that was made at our previous meeting... if you remember it was an add-on... we had no time to look at it... to read it, to see what it was." "I'm sorry for all the commotion we've created" "We've not laid off one person from City Hall... I support the Mayor - I do not want him to resign"

Commissioner Zenaida Denizac

Click to listen

"The city of Deltona was put at risk when the majority of this commission voted to shut-up the people of Deltona.  George Trovato, you put this city at risk... apparently the majority of this commission is ok with the lousy job you're doing as the City Attorney...  Mayor Mulder publicly threatened to sue me... City Attorney George Trovato said he could not represent me as a commissioner..."

Commissioner Herb Zischkau

Click to listen

Accuses Mayor Mulder of violating the law on three levels; Federal, State, and City (the Mayor swore an oath to uphold and protect he laws on all levels).

Commissioner Michele McFall-Conte

Click to listen

"Don't disrespect our city's founding fathers and former commissioners with your 'good ol boys' comments.  Mayor Mulder called the commissioners political opponents - we are not political opponents - we are fellow commissioners.  "Disagreements are the foundation of this country"
Commissioner Paul Treusch Commissioner Treusch did not have any comments regarding Mayor Mulder's controversial speech-suppressing motion.

Commissioner Janet Deyette

Click to listen

"Except for the memo that came out right before our Mayor did this, we were not prepared - I did not have time to do any research or anything... at the risk of appearing incompetent, I should have asked what the motion was that I made... because I'm not sure now what I voted on... we had already voted on that... because I made that motion... I wanted that motion..."

THE PEOPLE

Click to listen

"The Mayor showed poor judgment. Commissioners Carmolingo, Treusch, Ms Deyette never took the time to ask our City Attorney any questions about its legality, or were competent enough to want further investigation of the subject at hand - they put the city in harm's way, and without one question.  The lack of constitutional knowledge on the commission is inexcusable.  The situation in Deltona has deteriorated since your regime.  If you won't resign, then we'll have to recall you.  Mayor Mulder and George Trovato need to resign.  Mayor Mulder made mention of the cheap seats - the seats of freedom were not cheap.  Its a shame the situation that we're in, and it will all be resolved if you resign.  Mr. Mayor I think you've done a lousy job as a Mayor, and you're not a rookie any more, and I think its time that you resign;" Recall Committee's Mark Buckley speaks out "if you won't resign then we'll have to recall you;"  Larry DeMatteo speaks his heart in asking Mayor Mulder and City Attorney George Trovato to resign.
